A Little Address in Waikiki

A Little Address in Waikiki

I am a wanderlust traveler at heart, I would live on the road with a camera and coffee in hand and be the happiest girl ever. I make it a point to escape with one of my favorite travel partners and bff, Erika Kauffman .

We stayed at one of our favorite Waikiki hidden gems, the Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club  which easily charmed my lens. Erika (of her own boutique luxury PR firm, EPR) treated me to a long weekend in her forever home…the 808…and let’s face it she is essentially the Mayor of luxury travel. So the way this works…she plans, I capture, we laugh.

While we are both originally from the Big Island, I had never been to Lanikai Beach on the windward side of Oahu. It was a paradise mind blower! With its turquoise blues stretching out for miles, her two small islands (the Mokes) play on the horizon, mirroring our shenanigans on the sand. We later collapsed on the shore of Waimanalo Bellows Beach…another sandy surrender!

A great stop along the way and in the near vicinity if you like chic, boho style is the most darling his-and-her lifestyle shop Olive and Oliver in Kailua. An added bonus – they also have another smaller location at the Surfjack Hotel. No excuse for not having legit travel style.

During our isle hiatus, we returned home where our friendship began as five-year-olds and went back to our favorite untouched beaches on the Big Island. I currently live in Seattle and while I love the city, my heart will always be ready to wander the unpaved rugged roads to find hidden gems. There really is no place like home, and no better way to travel than with a BFF or BF (HA!).
