French Countryside meets Rustic Hawaii – Wedding Inspiration

French Countryside meets Rustic Hawaii – Wedding Inspiration

Two of my favorite places blended into one! We brought the feel of the French Countryside to the rustic Kohala Coast of Hawaii. The result: pure magic!

This styled session was photographed at the very end of May right before the busiest wedding season on record. What a year. So many beautiful weddings and so much to be grateful for!

The joint effort between the amazing vendors from both Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest was held at the stunning and unique venue  Puakea Ranch . A property rich in history, with vintage, Hawaii aesthetics and a space that allows for a return to slow living. Puakea Ranch offers several cottages for guests to stay in, each on their own private portion of the property. Perfect for a small wedding with family and friends!

Our vision for this session was to mix soft, romantic design, and a little bit of je ne sais quoi into the wild landscape of the Kohala Coast. Lala Milo Florals did just this with her gorgeous, whimsical floral design that danced and floated delicately on this breezy day. Lyla May is a local, Big Island florist and farmer who sources most of her flowers from her farm in upcountry Waimea. Her floral designs are so dreamy!

Makeup artist Gracia from Indigo Grace Artistry created a fresh, dewy look and natural hairstyles with lots of texture. Yes, this one is especially for those curly girls who love to embrace their waves and style! I’m so grateful for Gracia. She and I have been creative collaborators in Hawaii throughout the years, and it is always such joy to watch our visions unfold. I so admire her value for creative growth, her incredible work ethic, and her wonderful personality! Not mention she is one of the best makeup and hair gurus I know!

The AMAZING Models from this styled session who brought our vision to life! Talea Lischetzki , Ninamarie Jeffrey , and Na’ai Elle So stunning and so much fun energy to work with!

Hawaii wedding planner, Dayna of Naupaka Events brought her calm and beautiful helping hands to make this project flow. Thank you! Dayna has the sweetest presence and works hard so you can relax and enjoy your most meaningful day.

The wedding dress, a design by one of my personal favorites Galia Lahav, was provided by The Dress Theory in Seattle. It is always a joy to work with The Dress Theory because they have the most beautiful selection of wedding dresses and the sweetest staff!

The Bridesmaid dresses are from Coco and Lita, a local boutique in Holualoa, and a MUST VISIT if you’re on the Big Island. Lianne, the owner, is an absolute gem and has quite the eye for elegance and style. We were also spoiled to work with local Hawaii designer Na’ai Elle, who styled the jewelry for this photo session. All Jewelry (minus the vintage engagement ring) was made by her. Hello bling! Invitations were created by Haven Paper Co. with lots of care and love poured into the details. For our sweetheart table we blended soft and delicate details with natural elements. Table-setting pieces were provided by Acacia Creations. Their linen tablecloth and napkins feel so soft and we loved layering vintage plates on their water hyacinth chargers. Acacia Creations works directly with thousands of master artisans around the world to design and create their exclusive collections of home goods. Each partnership is founded on dignity and aims to preserve time-honored techniques and artistic heritage-something we feel good about standing behind!

Can you tell I love our vendors? 🙂

This Styled Photo Session had so much heart and creativity poured into it, and we are excited to be sharing it with you!
